• I used the Dashboard Editor to modify sidebar.php.
I inserted /** in a new line before the first line of code, and a */ in a new line after the last line of code. I did it this way so as not to disturb any code.

This worked fine, but then when I went to bring it back by removing those 2 comment lines, the sidebar didn’t come back.

I’m curious as to why, but what I really want to know is how to free up the space formerly used by the sidebar, so that the page takes up all the space.

  • Hi Eric,

The question you are asking “How do I make my page full-width” with no sidebar is a Theme issue. If your theme has a full-width page you will see the option to change it when you are editing a page.

Over on the right hand side of the page you will see a dropdown menu for Template under the “Page Attributes” section.

If your theme has a full-width template page you will find it there. If you don’t let us know your theme and then perhaps someone will be able to help you further to create a template page with no sidebar.

    Stacy
