Disable sidebar on category pages

I want to disable the sidebar and show boxed content on pages of a particular category of my website. I can manually do that per page those but that will take ages.

I tried the Lightweight sidebar plugin. It does remove the sidebar but the content does not expand to fill the page so the purpose is not served.

Can you suggest a solution to this?
