Disable Text Colour Change on Visited Categaory

Hi,

Can you please tell me how I can disable the text colour change on a visited category. I have my categories displayed in the sidebar. Once visited it changes to purple.

Is there anyway I can determine the default text colour and another colour for the category currenty being viewed?

Please advise.
