• Hello!

I need your help because i’m confronted to this:

I created a new page on my wordpress. Strange: the permalink is something like that:
https://{site_url}/{page_title}-2 (with a number at the end)

I tried to see what was on https://{site_url}/{page_title} in order to understand this behavior, and the result is a post (instance of single.php) wich the content is one of my uploaded pictures, with the same name of my new page.

I figured out a post exists on every picture i uploaded, with the url https://{site_url}/{img_slug}. Is there something to do to disable this behavior?

I hope you understand me! Sorry for my english!

    Thank you very much!

  • Yes, that is the default behaviour of WordPress. For example if there is already page with home slug then new page with name Home will have home-2 as slug. I would recommend keeping slug of image and post different.
