    Hi,

    the title says it straight away: I’m using the file-away file uploader, but it renders the uploader’s name into the filename.

    I really need to disable this feature, otherwise the plugin is completely useless to me.

    Why? Because I would like to manage image files for our ERP System’s images with this, the Uploader is a simple employee (no coding knowledge, no FTP accress).

    Most importantly: The uploaded file name has to be exactly like it was uploaded. No prettyfication, no renaming of the uploaders name, just the file how it originally is!

    Thank you for help on how to disable this.

    Toby

    Look at your [fileup] shortcode. See the part that says: uploader=”name”?

    Delete that. That is not added by default, so you or someone else chose to add it to the shortcode.

    File names are not otherwise changed when uploading. Prettification is done to the _display_ of the file name, not to the file itself. If you want to disable prettification, add this to your [fileaway] shortcode:

    prettify=”off”

    Everything is documented on the File Away settings page under the Tutorials tab, including everything I’ve said above.
