    For some reason, many spammy IP bots try to login as legit users (including me as an admin). Therefore, it happens that the USER is locked out (including myself).

    I just want the IP to be added to the list, not the actual account to be locked out, but I did not find any similar options.

    Hi,

    Normally the user account shouldn’t be locked out just because a malicious bot tried to log into it.

    This might mean that your site uses a “reverse proxy”, so Wordfence can’t see each visitor’s IP — does your Live Traffic show the same IP for multiple different users? You can set the “How does Wordfence get IPs” option, if that is the case — more details on the options are available here:
