    Hi @nta78,
    Thanks for your message.

I’m not sure which plugin you’re using for FAQs but without knowing the journey of how a user comments and which notifications you have set-up, it will be difficult to advise.

Can you elaborate a bit more about your set-up?

Hello, thank you for your answer. We use the ultimate FAQ plugin.

We have tried to follow what is indicated on this page: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/notifications/disable-default-wordpress-emails/ By choosing “FAQ Comment approved” as the notification type. This didn’t work, an admin still receives a notification after approving a comment.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @nta78,
    Thanks for clarifying.

I think, similarly to your other support thread, it’s most likely that the Ultimate FAQ plugin is using its own, or overriding, the comment notifications and so another plugin cannot override them again.
I would test this by deactivating the plugin and testing BNFW with the default WordPress comments on a post to see if you can get that working, then when you do, re-activate the FAQ plugin and re-test.

Let me know if this helps.

Hello, thank you for your response unfortunately after testing your solution the problem persists for the FAQ comments, we receive a notification after approval. On the other hand, for WordPress comments, it works, we do not receive a notification after approval of the comment.

Do you have another idea to solve this problem?

    Hi @nta78,
In that case, it might be that the FAQ plugin might just not be compatible with BNFW. If the plugin is using it’s own comment notifications instead, then BNFW won’t be able to override them.
You may need to request support from the authors of the Ultimate FAQ plugin too.

Thank you for your reply. We will also contact ultimate faq. Notifications regarding a new message in the FAQ work well, we were able to configure them with your plugin, it is surprising that deactivating a notification does not work.

    Hi @nta78,
Please let me know what they say.

If you can deactivate the default WordPress comment notification with BNFW but not other comment notifications added by other plugins, this is usually becuase the other plugin is causing an issue.

hello, here is their answer : https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/incompatibility-with-plugin-customize-wordpress-emails-and-alerts-better-notif/

How I thought ultimate FAQ does not offer an option to manage notifications. Perhaps the problem comes from poor settings on our part. Can you tell us how to disable FAQ notifications after approving a reviewer?

    Thanks for your help

Hello, this is the FAQ notification after approval, I am attaching a screenshot of the configuration : https://share3.newtelapps.fr/f.php?h=02CsDpQB&p=1

My goal is to disable this notification.

    Thanks

    Thanks @nta78,
If you activate that notification, and change some of the content, does it override the notification that is sent out?

    (@nta78)

Hello, by activating this notification, I receive two emails after approval of an FAQ comment, one is the one which corresponds to the “FAQ Comment approved” type which I have just activated and the other is the one which we receive when making a new comment “FAQ – New comment awaiting moderation”

    Hi @nta78,
If it works for the deafult notifications but not for the Ultimate FAQ plugin then it might just be that the plugin isn’t compatible sadly.

Do you think this might be the case?

Thank you for your help, there may be an incompatibility. Without a solution, we will develop a way around this problem.

    Thanks for your help
