Hi, I am using yoast Version 15.8 and WP 5.6.1. because my website uses a lot of ahref = # in posts. every link # is added to the table and make the table size large.
I have disabled the Text link counter but every time I create a new post the wp_yoast_seo_links table is still filled.
how to make yoast not create all the links to the wp_yoast_seo_links table?
or is there a script for function.php to disable this feature
or filter if ahref = #
    because I don’t need it.
    thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

As much as we hate to say it, your question goes beyond the technical expertise of me and my colleagues on the Yoast support team. This means we can’t give you a solid answer to your question.

But we don’t want to leave you empty-handed either, that’s why we’ve created our developer portal at developer.yoast.com. This has proven to be useful to many developers in the past, and hopefully will serve you well too.

Sorry we can’t be of more help here.

    ok, thanks for the response.
but this is strange, if I use localhost, a href=”#” is not recorded in the database. https://prntscr.com/103x87n

I tried on 3 websites with different hosting and a href=”#” was recorded in the database https://prntscr.com/103×437

    Hi @dzsatria!

If you use the: wpseo_should_index_links filter listed here https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/pull/12751 to disable it does the issue resolve?

Note that there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. And even though we cannot be of any assistance, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.

We highly recommend checking out our list of Yoast Partners here https://yoast.com/yoast-partners/ in case you are in need of development.

We will also keep this issue open for 1 week in case someone from the community can help. Perhaps a developer watching these forums can assist further. After which, we will close in order to keep the overview.

    hi, thanks for the response.
I decided to TRUNCATE TABLE via functions.php if a new post was published or edit post.
as long as there are no errors, that’s fine for me.
and also thank you for creating an excellent plugin.

    @dzsatria,

Thank you for those kind words! We are glad the issue is now resolved. We will close this in order to keep the overview. If you experience any more issues please feel free to create a new topic!
