In the new Login Options area of Wordfence the option of ‘Disable XML-RPC authentication’ is available. The help text of this option states “If disabled, XML-RPC requests that attempt authentication with be rejected.”

Is this referring to if the option is disabled, or if XML-RPC is disabled (option is enabled)?

I do not use XML-RPC at all and I am trying to work out which config options are best to set.

  • Hey @toolstd,

If you don’t use XML-RPC for authentication or any other services you’ll want to enable the feature to “disable XML-RPC”.

Please let me know if this helps. I’ll speak with the team to see if there’s a way to make this more clear.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Thank you Gerroald. That helps.

Just an idea, I think personally it sounds too confusing.
