@kamalh You can request a recrawl of your site anytime. Any references to your AMP URLs will always fallback to your non AMP. At the same time you can verify the removal of AMP content using the AMP status report in Search Console. Watch for a decreasing trendline on the “indexed AMP pages” graph.

You can also use this guide to ensure removal from AMP cache.

Presently I have disabled AMP plugin and if I let it be, will the search index resolve itself in the coming days by showing only standard non-amp in the result page?

@kamalh You are correct, once your site is re-indexed with no AMP references eventually the AMP versions will no longer be indexed.

The guide might a bit technical, but you can also keep track of this GitHub issue, or add your comments. It relates to automatically sending update pings to AMP cache servers on website updates once the AMP plugin is active.
