• Something is shady about this plugin: once installed I immediately changed settings from Automated Bulk image processing on my site to Manual.
3 days later I was surprised because I received a mail “You reached 500 max limit” (????) while I’m more than sure I compressed less than 100 images manually.
My conclusion is that this plugin is probably buggy (on purpose?). (See 3rd post)

    Hi @hexaae,

Sorry to hear the plugin is not working as you except. When you’re counting the number of compressions you’ve made, are you also counting the different sizes of each image that has to be compressed?

WordPress creates different thumbnails of your images which all have to be compressed. Some plugins even add more sizes. You can take a look at this under Settings > Compress JPEG & PNG images to see which sizes are currently being compressed.

If you’ve checked that and you’re still sure that you haven’t compressed more than 100 images, then I would like to suggest that you contact us at [email protected] so we can investigate further. Make sure to attach any information that you think would help us – like your account email, wordpress/plugin versions. We might also ask for login credentials to your WP-admin at a later stage to be able to investigate further.

Let’s try to fix this! Hope to hear from you soon.

    Mmmh, it does make sense.
Actually this could be the cause since a compressed pic should be multiplied x10 (or more) because of WordPress default behavior to split uploaded images in multiple resized versions of the same pic, and your plugin obviously performs optimization on every single image (e.g. pic-name.jpg, pic-name_100x100.jpg, pic-name_200x200.jpg… in the /Uploads/ directory).
In this case though PRO users have to keep in mind costs can hugely levitate:
    “<pics number> x 10”.
