    Hi!
At the moment there is no way. I think it’s possible to add ability to deactivate Citadel mode somewhere on the Tools tab. For instance, with a button. Anyway, it will be added in one of the next releases.

I’ll add link on the new widget to manually deactivate Citadel mode with next release this week.

Thanks! That would be great. Much appreciated.

You might also consider adding a toggle to disable rolling into Citadel Mode completely — as the plugin currently stands you can make it very unlikely Citadel Mode will ever be engaged by requiring a very high volume of attempts to activate it, but there’s no way to say “no, don’t ever turn it on.” And since Citadel Mode is pretty drastic (disabling logins completely), I could see scenarios where you could want to say that.

That would be weird if such a great plugin doesn’t have that ability! ?? You can permanently disable Citadel mode in one step. Set Threshold fields to 0 or leave them empty and save settings. Done!

With last release 1.6 you can manually deactivate Citadel mode, once it automatically was activated.

    Hello Gioni,

I think somehow my Citadel mode is not working properly. How can I test it?
I had two IP’s which each tried like 350 times to access my website. Shouldn’t here work the Citadel mode?

If you need more informations to give me an answer, please let me know.

    Thanks and cheers

    Hi Thorsten-D!
First of all DO NOT POST any support request in the existing and resolved topics. Open new topic.
Second, could you explain me what settings have you set for Citadel mode?

    Hello Gioni,

thank you for your reply. I am new here and I didn’t don’t know where to report a support request.

    My setting are as followed:

Threshold: enable after 25 failed login attempts in last 30 minutes
    Duration: 60 Minutes
    Whitelist: Allow
    Notifications: Send

If you need more information, please let me know.

    Thanks and cheers

During what period of time was those attempts? Within 30 minutes?

They where both within one minute

How did you found out that Citadel mode is not active? Didn’t you receive any email notifications?

No I didn’t receive any emails at all. That was the strange thing. Normally there are always some kind of attacks. So I looked into it and found this “attacks” in the overviews.
The test emails are working. Did this several times to check.

    Try to do:

    1. Go to WP Cerber settings page.
    2. Open Activity tab.
    3. Click Citadel activated! link above the table.

    Do you see some events?

I see the message: No activity has been logged.

What did you mean when you said “350 times to access my website”? What does “access” mean?
