The ‘link pay faster’ button has just started displaying on my product pages and checkout. I am not a US based merchant and ‘link’ is disabled on my stripe account. ‘Link by Stripe’ does not appear under (settings > payments) ‘express checkouts’ so I can’t disable it. Any suggestions?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Same Problem here.
It dissapear if you deactivate Apple/Google pay.
    Oh, what a mess.
You cannot put a payment method in Germany on your website without point it in your privacy policy. It can cost a lot of money, by the law.
And I have read, that Link does not work for Germans.
I have to deactivate the Apple/Google Pay function (that cost me money). And you have to look up the new version of Stripe. There is a problem and we could not deactivate only Link. It came with the last Stripe update.
We don′t see the upper picture, where we can deactivate Link separately.
    I only see Apple/Google Pay.

    Thanks
    Best regards,
    Andreas

Same problem here. If Express Checkout is enabled (for Google and Apple pay), the pay by Link is automatically displayed also. There is no option to disable this.

We tried all solutions in this support thread. Nothing has worked so far.

Same. I disabled Link within dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods and it isn’t a checkbox at Woo > Settings > Payments > Express checkouts (only Apple Pay / Google Pay, which we don’t want to disable)

WP 6.1.1 and all plugins up to date (Woo 7.1.0, Woo Stripe 7.0.1)

for anyone experiencing this, it can be disabled within your Stripe settings (in stripe dashboard, not WC):

Stripe Dashboard > Settings > Link in the Payment Request Button

@monomatic Thank you for your suggestion. I’ve tried and it didn’t work. I have cleared cache. Do you think it may need a while to take effect? It’s been about 30 minutes since turning off Link in Stripe.

@kristymix The change is applied instantly for us. @enfueggo (JustinV) suggested the same method above. I doubt cache, at least page cache. object cache? same in new session/incognito?

    Hello everyone,

Thank you all for chiming in and letting us know about the bug.

I couldn’t re-create the bug on my test site, but a fellow Happiness Engineer did and a Github report was opened.

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/2479

If you have a few minutes, please check the link above and attach your system status report or any relevant information that you think can help the devs fix the problem.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,
    thanks for fast responds.
The workarround, what is show in the Github article, help me to solve the problem.

I have now activate Apple Pay/Google Pay and see no more Link in the basket.

    Perfekt!

    Thanks a lot

Thanks for the update @babylon1999 — I setup a reduced test case and submitted screenshots and my details at https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/2479#issuecomment-1317589954

(@monomatic Think you misread me, still happening even when disabled at Stripe.com)

    (@enfueggo)

Update in my case thanks to @gofreem (and I see @monomatic posted it here earlier too) I had originally only disabled Link at https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods but disabling it at https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/link fixed the issue for me. Seems like others are still having trouble though.

    Hello,
I have the same problem, any suggestions !

    walidlahbil

    (@walidlahbil)

    Solution for the issue :
1 – go to https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods and sisable stripe
2 – In your Woocommerce backend > Settings > Payments > Stripe disable it
