Disabling pages.

  • I’ve read the majority of the “hiding pages” search threads.. but none of what I really wanted – basically, I’m looking for something that disables the specified pages altogether.. so it would act as if it didn’t exist. (so no showing up on wp_list_pages, 404s on direct links et cetera)

    I don’t want to delete those pages either..

    Is there a plugin or just a simple thing to get it working like that? Maybe a “draft” type thing? (for pages) because I think that would be fine, too. ??

  • Unfortunately, there is no ‘draft’ status for Pages.
    If you don’t want to show them – delete the wp_list_pages tag from your sidebar. Not entirely clear what is your intention. To hide Pages from being listed? To “hide” them from…?
    Disable writing Pages? Or what?

    Hmmm that sounds like it could get complicated, how about just putting a Password on your Pages? And/or change the slug to something really obscure like aifuhga2o938b6t297ty
