We would like to try out another optimization plugin (LiteSpeed Cache) and remove SG Optimizer. Everything seems to work fine in our staging environment when we disable SG Optimizer and enable LiteSpeed Cache. However, on the live site, when we disable the SG Optimizer, issues seem to occur.

This page only displays a loading icon and doesn’t load the full page:
    https://www.devinebath.com/about-us/

When we re-enable SG Optimizer, the page loads as expected. All of the settings in SG Optimizer have been turned off.

We’ve disabled the plugin so you can see the issue.

We’ve purged the cache and viewed from an incognito window and the issue seems to still be visible.

Is there a safe way to remove this plugin without breakage to our site?

    Thanks.

    Hello @bspaceships,

The content of the page was still cached. I purged the website’s cache and the about-us page loaded correctly.

To avoid this in the future, you can purge the cache before deactivating the plugin and/or purge the dynamic cache from Site tools after disabling it.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve removed the SG Optimizer plugin from the site. However, the sg_worker still exists in the Cloudflare account. Is it safe to remove this worker without breaking the site or are there steps that need to be taken before deleting it? Thanks so much.

Yes, you can remove the sg_worker. It is part of the full page caching, and it is automatically created in Cloudflare upon activation.
