Disabling Product Category Archive

Is there a place to turn off the creation of product category archive pages and product tag archive pages?

For better understanding, can you please elaborate more about your request, please? Is there any specific reason to do not to permit the creation of the pages? Let us know.

The product category pages generated by woocommerce don’t have any useful information on the products — just their featured images that link to the individual product pages. I have created category pages for my categories that contain text as well as the links back to the product pages.
It seems to me that the woo commerce pages don’t really provide any valuable information for the site visitors. I would think that having these pages just slows down the crawl of the site. I might be wrong about that, but it seems like unnecessary filler. Same for the product tag archive pages.

Does this make sense?

It sounds like you’re looking to hide/remove Product Categories and Product Tags in WooCommerce. At the moment, there’s no default option for that in WooCommerce but you can use a customized solution or a plugin.
