Disallow by Tags doesn’t work

Hi @tiotrom, sorry to hear it’s not working! That’s frustrating. Let’s get some more info to figure out what’s going wrong and hopefully get it fixed…

First off, yes: if you use “Disallow by Tags”, then any posts that use those tags should not get recommended on other posts.

Could you please send some debug info onto?
1. Go to your WordPress admin dashboard
2. on the left, under “Settings”, click “YARPP”
3. Click “Help” tab in the top-right
4. towards the top-left, click “Optional Data Collection”
5. Copy all the computery-text between under where it says “versions”

Could you paste that into here? If you’d rather not, you could email it to us. (I’d provide you with an email address if you want that)

Thanks @tiotrom, received, although I’m afraid I can’t yet see what’s wrong. (There was some more info I thought it would contain but it didn’t.)

Could you please share a screenshot of the top of the YARPP settings page, especially the “Exclude by tags” part?

Also, on the YARPP settings page, under “The Algorithm” could you try slightly changing the “Match threshold” (up or down 0.1)? That will cause YARPP’s cache to get cleared, which is possibly the culprit.
