• On the site under construction, post are being sorted and displayed by category. I need to disable the ability for visitors to leave a comment on one of the sorted pages.
Despite the pages tab in the admin panel giving me the option to “do not allow” comments, and the page being updated to do just that, the comments are not disabled on the site. anybody any ideas why, and how to go about disabling the ability to comment for that particular page?

If you mean you clicked to turn off comments from Settings -> Discussion, that only does it for posts you’ve made after checking that.

You have to go in to each page and edit them.

Hi, thanks for getting back. No, I went to the actual page, and edited it from there, meaning the drop down list in comments was set to “do not allow”, and then update was clicked. It works fine on another page, but this one seems to have a mind of its own.
The site is https://www.people-in-need.com, the offending page is in the “Scribes Corner” menu, “Limericks”
It also seems to truncate the full post, thereby not showing the “rating” until “leave a comment” is hit.
