Hi, for some reason, my self-hosted main domain has been removed from my WordPress.com WordPress account, so I can no longer get notifications and reply to comments through the WordPress app or Jetpack app as I have been doing for the last five years

However, both my self-hosted sub-domains remain on my WordPress.com WordPress account and retain full functionality through the apps

I tried talking to Jetpack via the app by opening a ticket about what caused my main domain to be removed from my WordPress.com WordPress account in the first place, which happened during the last couple of days. But they refuse to tell me what caused this to happen and refuse to tell me how to get my main domain re-added so I can continue to use the app to manage my blog comments. Will someone here help me instead?

for some reason, they keep signposting me to www.ads-software.com or my host to get help with the WordPress.com WordPress account and Jetpack app and Jetpack plugin issue

When I tried to use the Jetpack app after waking up this morning, I kept having error messages when I tried to use it like I normally do to review comments and whatnot. Then my main domain just disappeared from the Jetpack app completely, just leaving the last set of comment and like notifications for my main domain and nothing else.

I think it may be linked to something that happened with the Jetpack plugin on my main domain, as I logged into my dashboard after the issues with the Jetpack app, and it made me go through some of the basic set-up steps again

I can also appear to be still able to log into my main domain using the WordPress login credentials

When I go to https://wordpress.com/jetpack/connect to try to re-add my site, it tells me it’s already added, but it still doesn’t appear in my site list

At present, instead of having my three domains/subdomains as site options on my WordPress.com WordPress account, it now just has the two

For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to get my main domain back on my WordPress.com WordPress account so I can access my main domain through the Jetpack or WordPress app as I normally do

As my main domain disappeared from being listed as one of my sites and being my primary site on my WordPress.com WordPress account, it was switched to one of my subdomains subdomains

    Hi @unwantedlife,

Thank you for the details and screenshots provided. Nevertheless, the status displayed as “Connected as undefined” is certainly unusual and not something we expect to see. I recommend taking the step of completely removing Jetpack from your site, followed by a fresh installation and reconnection according to the instructions in this guide.

Please give this a try and let us know how it goes.

none of that worked as it won’t let me disconnect, so uninstalling and reinstalling it just left me with the same problem. However, after days of working on the problem, I was able to find a way to disconnect and reconnect that didn’t work through the dashboard on my laptop, but was an option when accessed the dashboard on my phone’s browser

    Hi @unwantedlife,

Thanks for the update and letting us know that you were able to fix the connection. I checked and on our end too your website seems to be properly connected with the Jetpack plugin.

Let us know if you have any questions.
