Disappearing reference lists in 0.9

If your reference list disappears when you upgrade to version 0.9, please check that you have a Reference Style selected. The default may not be properly activated when the plugin is activated.
This question was raised in another thread, but the thread title was for a different problem, so I’m making this so people will be more likely to see it.
