Disappearing Short code section

  • Hello!

    I’m having a frustrating time with this and haven’t been able to find any info online. Whenever I go to add a shortcode, it bolts away from me. Just outright disappears like it was never there.

    Using the WP editor, I’ll click one of the blue + to add a section then

    Add a section > WP Elements > [+] shortcode

    the entire section disappears here. Then sometimes when I click around the shortcode element shows back up but if I click on the block to put in any text it’s gone again

    I don’t think you are using the default block editor (Gutenberg). There is no dialog with “Add a section > WP Elements” to insert a shortcode. I recommend asking for help in the dedicated support channel for the editor you are using.
