it is really disappointing how open source software that you self-host are limiting the amount of subscribers you can have on your own system. I fully support having premium plans but limiting the amount of subscribers is not the way to go about it. You used to be able to get a premium plan that didn’t limit subscribers and they changed it. I recommend looking at other options, which there an abundance of now that stay true to the ethos of open source software.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out and sharing this feedback.

Our plans are based on the number of subscribers to account for costs with have with the number of emails sent through our servers and is aligned with most newsletters services on the market.

However, I’ll be happy to pass your feedback to our team and I appreciate the time you took for leaving your thoughts here.

    I appreciate your patience.

I should have been specific in my review: I am specifically referring to using your plugin to send emails through one’s own mail service. In such case such as using SendGrid, Mailgun, AWS, etc… Mailpoet should not be limiting the amount of subscribers one has on their own system using their own sending service. It’s nothing more than a cash grab on Mailpoet’s part.

Thanks for clarifying. I’ll pass your feedback to our products team. I appreciate the time you took for sharing your thoughts.

Gui A., you don’t want to use Mail Poet for that. Use either your service name’s plugin or WP mail SMTP plugin. Most providers have a plugin. If they don’t just use an SMTP plugin. If you want to add more functionality on designing transactional emails and newsletters, you will need to get another plugin for that. There’s one called Newsletter
