Disappointment of professional service to customers
-
I’m testing the machine translation for my site, it works properly but not completely as expected. I can’t find any information about the prices, only that google translate is used for the translation. According to the site they are better than Google translate, I assume that is the human translation, but unclear arguments. If I want to enter the “payment method” you come to an endless waiting page. In short, the additional work required to make the automatic system work is negated by the financial settlement.
The possible reach of 560 mil people is also strongly violated because only 11 mil people live in Belgium and not everyone can access the site for long. (200 active visitors max before site crashes)This is a preliminary prognosis after 1 week of testing.
Update: After testing and attempting to activate, I have come to the conclusion that the prices for machine translations are far above normal. The prices that Lingotek uses are therefore up to 10 times higher than the competition. So if you have a lot of machine translations like we do, my annual subscription of 1000@ is already used up after 20 days. Hi, The pricing is going to be dependent on how many total words you will be translating. ? Bronze Package - up to 12,000 words/year - $100/year ? Silver Package - up to 60,000 words/year - $500/year ? Gold Package - up to 120,000 words/year - $1,000/year If you need more than 120,000 words we can talk more about pricing. Do you want me to run a web crawl to get the total word count for your website? If so, I need to know the website and what language(s) you want to translate into. thanks, dain
In my opinion, these are more prices for human translation operations than for machine translations when you see that the competition has to pay 20 Dollars for 1 million characters or 200,000 words.
So now I’m going to uninstall both Polylang and Lingotek and convert to Lingopress.
