Disappointment on restore

For its claims of being platform independent, this is a flop. Couldn’t use other plugins because of PHP limitations on source host, so went here. Very prompt in creating ZIP file.
Install WP on new host, install plugin, reference given source URL, and message shows up:

The plugin encountered an error while extracting the zip file using WP’s zip file extractor,the following error message was returned:
Error Message : Incompatible Archive.

So, gone nowhere… fast, mind you, but nowhere nonetheless. Grr!
