• It’s telling me to update my wordpress database. Okay, but when I click the button to do that, it says I don’t have authorization to view that page. OMG. This is a disaster.

If it says WordPress database, it’s not a WooCommerce DB update. It’s a WP update. Show a screenshot?

sorry I meant woocommerce db. anyway, it’s too late, I’ve rolled back to backup of my site but i’ve lost everything. 3 months of work … gone…

Sorry to hear that. That wasn’t really necessary. It would have been better to debug the issue and remove the conflict – I’m sure it would have simply been an outdated plugin. I would have recommended that if you’d replied; I did reply 3 minutes after your post.

You’re right. I panicked. But after a few hours now I have restored back to the same error, cannot activate Woocommerce plugin itself. For sure it must be an outdated plugin but how to identify which one?

Deactivate all plugins, and start activating them one by one…

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wc_get_template_html() (previously declared in /home1/rocketr6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/yith-woocommerce-review-reminder/init.php:234) in /home1/rocketr6/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/wc-core-functions.php on line 218

The YITH woocommerce plugins don’t even show up on the list of installed plusgins such that I can deactivate them!

i deactivated all plugins using FTP by renaming the plugins folder, then changing it back to ‘plugins’ … so far so good. Now, reactivated woocommerce, and finally able to do the wc db update.

Re-activated all plugins one by one and no issues found. This means that there was something wrong with the 3.0 release, which I had upgraded to 3.01 before re activating all plugins. The 3.0 release had some fatal flaw which was not compatible with the plugins I had. It appears that the 3.01 upgrade ‘fixed’ whatever that issue was. I’m sure Automattic/Woo knows what that was… please enlighten us at least, so the 8.5 hours I wasted was not in vain, how you will avoid this happening in the future. Thanks.

rocketrobin no idea – the error message you pasted wasn’t something I fixed. That would only happen if you had 2 installs at once (somehow).
