I run a site called https://runwayrevolution.com hosted on GoDaddy with a Thesis theme. I created an auto-upgrade to WP 3.1 via GoDaddy (prob my first error) and when I came back to my site it was gone with a plugin error message.

Now, I do have a fresh backup of both my theme custom folder and layout.css so all is not lost, but for some reason I can’t find my way into the dashboard for the site because I usually just leave the admin links visible from the site.

Can someone provide an dashboard URL string for www.ads-software.com that is for runwayrevolution.com? (Yes I’m really that much of a n00b). I’d have thought logging in to the forums here would have opened something up for me but no luck – I had to register!

Then, can someone tell me if the best process for repairing things is to deactivate plugins on WP and then reinstall WP to GoDaddy, then do the Thesis upgrades in that order? Haven’t had to do such a major overhaul so not sure of which way to go about it all.
    TIA!

  • runwayrevolution.com/wp-admin

That assumes that wordpress was installed in the root folder. If you put it in a subfolder of its own, then it’s runwayrevolution.com/subfolder/wp-admin

You probably can’t login till the plugin is deactivated, so access the site through FTP and rename the plugins folder in wp-content/plugins to something like plugins.old
You can deactivate them then enable them one by one to find out which has a conflict.

I would contact GoDaddy directly. Their customer support is usually very good, one that you pay for anyway.

Although you can do it yourself through the control panel, one thing they can do for you is walk you through a restore from a date when you know things were working well. Once you’re back to where you were, you can then begin to troubleshoot.
