• Hi guys,

Hoping that you can help with this problem.

Bing is fine, no problems there – but coming onto Google Search Console, I’m getting 375 properly indexed ‘pages’ and one and a half thousand ‘not indexed’ ‘pages’ which are made up of when I was using a www prefix and lots from a staging site that I once used to ‘improve my SEO’ (lol yeah right)

Aside from dropping all of these one and a half thousand, now non-existant links into a disavow list, which needs refreshing whenever Google feels like getting up your nose, is there any other plugin or other method that I could use?

  • Google needs some time to index pages. This is faster the better known the page is (aka more links on the web pointing to it = backlinks). Over time, other pages that have not yet been indexed are also indexed.

What surprises me is the confusion of your URLs. You should have a look at what exactly you are analysing in the Search Console. Their community can help you to organise this: https://support.google.com/webmasters/community?hl=en

    Hi @threadi

I changed my website from www to non-www around three years ago, and the staging site was active for a couple of weeks last year while I tried out a new SEO plugin.

As I said earlier, there’s no problem at all with Bing, it’s just that there are one and a half thousand pages not eligible for indexing via Google Search Console.
