Long story short: because there is a bug in the plugin that is stopping me from connecting my “Facebook for WooCommerce” plugin to my FB, I am advised from Facebook Support to deactivate my Commerce Manager account and create a new one and only then to try to reconnect the “Facebook for WooCommerce” to FB/FBE again.

What they told me is this:

Upon checking, I can see that you have onboarded via Woo Commerce. Therefore, to be able to deactivate your Commerce account, you would need to reach out to Woo Commerce first for support to disconnect your Commerce account from the third-party platform.

The problem is that the “Deactivate Commerce Account” link is not visible (see this: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/332237491329226 ) and I cannot deactivate my Commerce Manager account. And this link is not visible because there is a connection created by “Facebook for WooCommerce” which I cannot disconnect on my own nor Facebook Support can disconnect it.

Can you advice me on how to proceed?

Our business is stopped until this issue is resolved as we rely massively on FB Ads but there’s no point in running FB Ads without the pixel configured, but the pixel will be configured (and the server events) after the “Facebook for WooCommerce” is properly configured. This is very important for us!

    Update:
    – everything is UP to date (“Facebook for WooCommerce” is 2.6.12, WordPress is 5.9.3)
    – I am a software developer so you can get technical if necessary

    Hi @npviktorov,

Sorry for the trouble this caused you.

If I understand it, you are looking for a way to remove the Facebook for WooCommerce from your Facebook Manager completely – correct?

If the above is indeed correct, can you please try the steps described in our guide for uninstalling Facebook for WooCommerce here: Facebook for WooCommerce: Uninstall Plugin and Remove WooCommerce Facebook App?

If you continue running into issues, please let us know.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

yes, I want to remove the “Facebook for WooCommerce” completely so that I could close my Commerce Manager account on Facebook (in order to setup “Facebook for WooCommerce” again).

The link that you have provided does not help. After following both steps I am still unable to deactivate my Commerce Manager account. Facebook Support said that there is still a connection and that they cannot remove it (maybe its something related with connect.woocommerce.com).

In this video you can see which connections I am aware of that I cannot remove (neither Facebook Support can): https://www.veed.io/view/ecb1aee6-3c5d-4211-b8c1-af1b455e9c98?sharingWidget=true

    Please help! Thanks!

    Hi @npviktorov

Please follow the steps below to completely remove Facebook integration from your WooCommerce Store.

    FIRST PART:
    – Navigate to https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools&ref=settings and then look for WooCommerce Integration.
    – Please click in and a popup window will appear, please scroll down and click – Remove, and then confirm by clicking Remove again. https://d.pr/i/b20NbB
    – It will finally get removed completely so you can make a new integration: https://d.pr/i/24P3ke

    SECOND PART:
    – Please deactivate the plugin and then delete it: https://d.pr/i/51mUAW
    – And then access your phpMyAdmin, we’re going to manually remove the database left over that’s not yet removed after the deletion.
PLEASE make sure that you create a full database backup before performing this step.
    – Click on wp_options table, click on Number of rows and then select the highest number to filter the data, in my case I selected 500, to ensure that at least 500 entries are displayed, and then search for wc_facebook_, once found, please select them and delete them. Here is the screencast of the process: https://d.pr/i/TcWhlr

    THIRD PART:
    – Clear WooCommerce transient data: WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > Tools > WooCommerce transients > Click – Clear Transients (Button on right)
    – Please install Facebook for WooCommerce again, and activate it.
    – Navigate to Marketing > Facebook, click Get Started.
    – During the process of reconnecting back to Facebook, please make sure to unselect Instagram shopping, as from my experience, it will trigger an error “Something went wrong”, resulting in an unsuccessful setup –you can add Instagram later: https://d.pr/i/6Z48pL

Please do the above steps, and let me know how it goes.

    Hello,

No luck having followed all the steps to the letter.

Here is a screen recording of the whole session. Note that I have showed the debug logs of the “Facebook for WooCommerce” plugin as well as they might be useful.

    Hi @npviktorov

Could you provide us with the steps you took as well as the log? You can also submit a ticket at WooCommerce.com if you still have trouble. Since we may need to gain access to the WP Admin to confirm your findings.

    Hi @npviktorov

We’ll mark this thread as close, but feel free to open a new support thread, with the steps you’ve taken, should you still have issues after using the most recent version of Facebook for WooCommerce.
