‘Disconnect Facebook’ User Admin Not Working

  • Having an issue where I believe a couple users changed their Facebook password and can no longer log into my WP site (They previously could). I believe it because they are stuck seeing the “Continue as You” and somehow its caching previous sessions that are no longer valid, so it is looping them into the login page.

    I thought I could disconnect their Facebook connection from the back end and let them try again, but clicking “Disconnect Facebook” as the admin doesn’t seem to do anything. It works from the front end when logged in as the user, but that isn’t too helpful for the users who can’t log in. No errors from what I can see in my logs and users just say they get stuck in the login prompt loop.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    that doesn’t sound right. They should be still be able to log in no matter if they changed their facebook or wordpress passwords.

    I would need to see the error myself or tell me hwo to reproduce in your site to know more.

    They can always delete your app from their facebook and then reconnect again but I don’t think is that
