    Hello,
Thank you for the wonderful plugin.
when I visit the users profile page, the plugin shows to which social account the users is connected.
Is there a way to connect with different social account for the same user?

what is the user uses different email account for different social media (Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn…). would this means the same user could have several subscriptions based on what social media they use to login my site?

Is their a way to make sure the same user would not have several accounts?

Is there a way to disconnect users from their social accounts?

    thanks again for your time.
    George

    Hi George,

Is there a way to connect with different social account for the same user?

Yes, you can see the icons to connect with other social accounts in the Social Account Linking section at profile page, except the one that user has used to login.
For example – If you have Facebook and Google enabled in Social Login and user has logged in using Facebook, they will see Google at their profile page to link their website account to. Facebook won’t be displayed here as user has already logged in using that.

what if the user uses different email account for different social media (Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn…). would this means the same user could have several subscriptions based on what social media they use to login my site?

When user logs in using social login, plugin first checks if unique user ID associated with that social account already exists in website database (as existing user who used that social account previously to social login). If ID is there, plugin creates a session for that user and logs him/her into website.
If ID does not exist in website database, plugin checks if the email associated to that social account (if provided by that social network) exists in website database (as already registered user). If email is there, plugin creates a session for that user and logs him/her in.
If user uses different emails for different social accounts, different accounts will be created.

Is their a way to make sure the same user would not have several accounts?

One way is to prompt user after login to link their social media accounts to their website account. So that next time when they login using any any of the linked social media accounts, plugin logs them to their already existing account at the website.
You can drop us an email at support[at]heateor[dot]com to customize the functionality to achieve this behavior.

Is there a way to disconnect users from their social accounts?

Yes, accounts can be disconnected from the same Social Account Linking section where user linked their accounts. Plugin displays the linked accounts with option to disconnect it.
