Hi all- I have a weird one. When logged in in admin and viewing my page as a “member” view, the Discord connect plugin and role we have assigned via our bot is showing without issue. However, when I actually sign in with my (external to WP admin) account that I have to keep an eye on things, the role, Subscriber in our case, shows twice. I’ve asked a few other members and they’ve also sent me screenshots showing the role appearing twice.

Have I set something up incorrectly, or is there anything I need to check with my mapping or bot setup? Thank you!

    Hey, @ceruleanmachine Thanks for writing.

The role appearing because you have selected default role as “subscriber” and membership mapped roles is also “subscriber”

But member will get only one role.

Thank you for the reply, @expresstechsoftware ! I can’t unset the bot as we also use it to process Patreon subscribers, so is the solution unsetting the mapping in the plugin and letting the bot handle it?

And more specifically, do I need to unset it from the “default mapping” AND from the mapping to the respective PMP membership levels for it to only show up once? Will the plugin work as intended if I remove all of this and let the bot process things? Thank you!

Wait- I think I got it. I think it was due to having the default mapping as well as an additional setting (of Subscribers) to each membership level. I’ve unset the default and only left the mapping to the member levels and I’m now only seeing Subscribers appear once.

Yes @ceruleanmachine You got it right, I hope there is no issue now.
