Discount applied without entering coupon

  • Congrats on your new plugin, it sounds very promising.
    So one question, I created a coupon and assigned it to product “x”, when I entered to my products page, I notice the discount was applied to “product x” without me entering the coupon code. So the way I thought/want it to work is to have to manually add the coupon code to the product on the “apply discount” window in the cart, and not for it t be globally add to the product. Can I achieve this with your plugin?

    Hi,

    The Coupon Generator plugin simply generates new WooCommerce coupons, it doesn’t do anything differently than those regular coupons..

    That said, coupons shouldn’t behave as you describe them… When creating a coupon code they should only be applied when you enter the code at the cart/checkout, and not automatically.

    If that is happening, my guess is that something else is also happening.
    Some guesses:
    1) Maybe there’s actually a product sale price?
    2) Maybe the coupon was still applied from an earlier test?
    3) There is a peace of code or plugin that automatically applies the coupons?
    4) Maybe another sale/promotional plugin that is activated?

    You where right Jeroen, it may be a conflict, so now I only have active Woocommerce and Coupon generator, I create a 25% coupon, applied it to a product that costs $10 and when I use the coupon it discounts me $-10

    That sounds very strange!

    What does the coupon page say how much the coupon code is worth?

    Does it only happen with a Coupon Generator, generated coupon, or does it also happen with a manual created coupon?

    It was my mistake, I was using the “product discount” option instead of the percent discount.
    Everything works perfect.

    Thanks for the great support, I can’t wait to see this plugin evolve and possibly have more options in the future.
