    Dear Support Team,

    we have noticed that:

    1) When an order including a discount code is cloned.

    2) The cloned order contains the discount and it is applied properly.

    3) However, when the cloned order is updated (or the status of the order is changed), the discount re-applies in some products, changing the total order value.

This is a pretty critical issue, as the price keeps changing at every update.

This only happens on cloned orders via this tool

Could you provide a hotfix for this and add it to your bug list?

    Thanks,

    Alvaro

@alvaroms are you using any plugin to apply discounts? If so, please mention it. We will check your scenario on our end.

    Thanks for the fast reply.

No, it is a standard woocommerce discount, applied via coupon code at checkout.

    thanks

After a bit of research, I discovered that this is caused by a wocoommerce bug => https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/28591

It was first noticed by us as the cloned orders positions have all the same behaviour as the manually added positions – making it more noticeable in this scenario.

This means, that once WC solves the issue this is solved.

On your end, this is sth. which could be avoided if the positions in the cloned order where exactly as the ones from the cloned order, as per the discount secuence and the discount being shown on the position itself.

    best,

    Alvaro
