Discrepancy with Word Count

  • WordPress version:3.5.1
    WordPress SEO version:1.4.8 (Developer)

    I did this:
    Added Allow Comments to Posts in bulk with Quick Edit, which turned SEO globes yellow, then updated individual Posts, which restored them to green, except for one Post. This post has a Word Count of 300+, but the SEO check list shows 84 words.

    I have installed newest version of WordPress SEO plugin (1.4.8 Developer), I have deactivated all other plugins, I have switched to the Twenty Twelve theme, and I have added, then deleted extra words in this Post.

    I understand the SEO globe COLOR has no effect on the SEO of my Post. It is annoying.

    The difference between the WordPress word count and the SEO word count is a concern.

    I expected the plugin to do this: (I expected the plugin SEO globes to remain green after Allowing Comments to Posts.)

    Instead it did this: (They all turned yellow.)
