Discussion & Comments?

    I have done a lot of websites with WP but I never used the WP Comment or Discussion features. I have checked the features on both a Page and a Post but they don’t show when I view that page. Comments are displayed in the Admin area of WP but not on the site. Would I be better off to add a Forum Plugin to allow users to add simple comments to a post? Lastly, I would like users to be able to comment without signing in. I know I can use the “Approve” option if this becomes an issue.

    Well, normally that’s part of the theme.

    Are you sure you haven’t disabled comments? Check Settings -> Discussion to make sure that “Allow people to post comments on new articles” is checked, *and* in the Discussion box below the post/page editor, make sure that “Comments” is checked on each existing post/page.

    If you don’t see a Discussion box below the post/page editor, hit the Screen Options tab near the top-right and check “Discussion”.

    Whether or not users have to sign in to comment is also controlled at Settings -> Discussion.

    Feel really stupid on this one. Went to the page and finally clicked on the Title of the post. Took me to another page where the comments showed. Thanks for your help.
