My site https://wandandian.org.au is hosted on a 100mb disk space plan and I quite often receive a Disk Usage Warning that I am running out of space. In the past I just assumed it was because of all the email spam I had been receiving, because whenever I deleted the spam the usage figure returned to a reasonable figure. However today I looked more closely at the actual disk usage via cPanel and the folders with high disk usage are public_html which uses 47.87mb (as would be expected) and tmp which uses 40.18mb.

Within the tmp folder the analog folder appears to have the biggest files. Can I delete any of the files in the tmp folder or would that create problems? I am a bit unsure of the purpose of many of the files and don’t want to risk removing files that are important.

    Thanks for any advice received.

  • Sorry, but this really has nothing to do with wordpress and everything to do with your web host. Ask them for help with disk space and deleting tmp files.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
