    and when I click on Dismiss it says : Undefined. and the message is still there, it won’t go away

    We are really sorry to hear of the encountered problem.
    Could you please try to temporarily deactivate the plugins excepting NextGen Gallery and try to dismiss the notice again?

    Same problem for me. Tried this solution but it still won’t go away. Still the undefined message.

    Hi,

    We’ve launched NextGen Gallery 3.1.2 a day ago. In case that you aren’t using the latest version, can you please try to update to it then check again?

    It seems that it’s an existing bug.
    If you are so kind, could you please try to create at least one gallery and see if the message is no longer there?

    I have tried even on a fresh WordPress 4.9.8 install, but have the same error, created a gallery, have the same problem. Message won’t go away, so I downgraded nextgen to version 3.1.0 but no succes. I downgraded than nextgen to version 3.0.16 and finally the message go away. So Nextgen version 3.0.16 works, above that gave the error undefined on all wordpress installs from wordpress 4.9.8 till 5.0.2

    Same issue. Have informed used to ignore the message but would be great to resolve this.

    Same problem for me too.

    An undefined dialog box pops up when trying to dismiss “Thanks for installing NextGEN Gallery! Want help creating your first gallery? Launch the Gallery Wizard. If you close this message, you can also launch the Gallery Wizard at any time from the NextGEN Overview page.”

    Update:

    The message does go away once you add a gallery.

    It would be more polite if the message went away when clicking Dismiss, given that is the purpose of the Dismiss option.

    Indeed, like ALL other well behaved plugins do.
