How are you adding the related posts in the content? With the shortcode?

Take a look at the columns parameter.

If you want to change the default 3 columns for the shortcode see this filter

The gallery-1 to 3 is incremented by how many galleries there are on the page.

You could style the related posts differently with:

/* content (second gallery)*/
.entry-content .related-gallery {}

/* content (first gallery)*/
.entry-content .et_section_regular .related-gallery {}

/* sidebar */
#sidebar .related-gallery {}
