I have a long menu. Is there a way to display all of my menu sections so that users know all of the different types of food we cary without scrolling down? Similarly to when you have a post category (menu) with subcategory (menu sections) and you display it in your sidebar using a widget. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi officethug,

With very large menus I often recommend that you break them up into multiple menus or use tabs/accordions to improve the navigation.

This plugin doesn’t provide tabs/accordions itself or a widget which displays Menu Sections within a menu.

There are two options, I think. One is to edit the template files to show all menu sections at the top. You can find an introduction to customizing your restaurant menu templates.

The other is to use a shortcode plugin which provides things like tabs/accordions and organize your menu into a bunch of menus, using separate shortcodes to print them. I don’t have one off-hand that I can recommend but there are a bunch out there.
