Display a single product within a variable product page issue

Hello, I am having the following problem with the Yith Request a Quote Plugin:

Basically, if you have another product within a VARIABLE product page (could be on a table using a different plugin or simply putting a shortcode to show the Add to Quote button for that specific product) the main VARIABLE product gets added TWICE to the quote list, here are some facts:

1. This issue happens ONLY with the variable products, meaning when the main product is a variable product.
2. It has nothing to do with any other plugin, it seems to be the Request a Quote plugin only.
3. It does NOT happen when adding normally to cart (but for this specific site we’re only using request a quote).
4. Imagine that on a variable product page I am displaying an additional option as a normal table, no plugins, and I am displaying the Add to Quote button by using the shortcode [yith_ywraq_button_quote product=”11053″] – meaning I am passing that specific product’s ID.
5. As long as you DON’T select an option from the main product’s variations dropdowns, the second button works.
6. As soon as you select something from the variations dropdowns, even if you don’t click the main product’s Add to Quote, the second product Add to Quote will add the main product with the variation selected.

If anyone has any idea of how to solve this, I would greatly appreciate it!
