    Hi,

I have a wordpress site based on genesis child theme. I am using addthis plugin for having social media icons on my pages.

I could add the buttons below title of individual blog posts by modifying the child theme’s functions.php. But unable to have it displayed below each post title in the main blog page.

Need to have the same way it is in https://www.addthis.com/blog/#.UfeI3m3_iOY (either below the title or after the excerpt should do) but the main thing is that the counts should match in the icons below the excerpt and in the individual posts.

    Please suggest.
    Thanks!

  • Hello Sowmya, since it’s a paid theme, we are unable to check the issue at our end. Please share the url or if you have a development/QA site for which you can allow me as an admin, share the details to srijith[AT]addthis.com.

The issue have to be because of the way theme handles excerpts in the main page.

    Hi Srijith,

I also noticed one more thing. I had checked the excerpts box under advanced in the addthis share settings and I believe this displayed the buttons below the posts excerpts in the blog page.
For testing purpose I just unchecked it and saved. Then the buttons disappeared from the main blog page excerpts. Re-enabling the excerpts checkbox from settings and saving it does not bring them back in place.

Also as I told in main blog page below excerpts we had it displayed by enabling excerpts checkbox from addthis settings as mentioned above and on the individual posts we have it displayed by modifying the child theme functions.php. With this in fact we had the buttons displayed on main blog page below excerpt title and also on individual posts. But the issue was that the statistics were not matching. Now that I disabled and enabled excerpts checkbox the buttons itself has vanished from the blog page.

Hope you are clear with the various issues mentioned.

    Thanks!
