Display All Custom Fields for a Specific Category

I’d like to display all custom fields for a specific category (not just per post). Is this possible? I’m thinking it must be based on the fact that the Admin panel has a drop-down of custom fields. I understand these would most likely need to be used first… and that’s fine. I just need to have a list of all custom fields (currently being used) for a certain category, but haven’t found a way to do so yet.
