Display and Format News Feed on Home Page

    Hi all,

    I am working on a website which will host a WordPress blog under a sub-directory named “blog” which will then be accessible via the sub-domain “blog”.

    I would like to include the latest 5 entries in list form where excerpts are truncated to around 100 characters with an ellipsis to indicate additional reading. The home page is naturally in the root directory of the website under “htdocs”.

    What is the best approach to access and format this information?
