“Display author” does nothing

    Appearance > Customize > Content Options > Post Details has an option to “Display author” but it doesn’t seem to display author.

    Ideas? Thanks.

  • Hi @bixfrankonis, I see the author at the bottom of that post near “Published By” — were you able to sort out what caused that?

    So, there are two different settings in Shoreditch: there’s a Post Details > Show Author, and an Author Bio > Display on single posts. The latter works, and it what you can see there. The former setting does nothing; my assumption was that it displayed the author in post meta or something. Maybe by design it doesn’t work on single-author blogs?

    After doing some tests, it clearly looks like a bug. I’ve already reported it to the theme developers.

    In the meantime, you can continue to use the author bio as a workaround.
