display backend content on frontend

Hello! One general question:
Is it possible to display backend content on the frontend? I mean any box with database or stuff that is displayed only on the backend (because it is programmed by the plugin?) Or a calender which only exists in the backend, make it visible and editable in the frontend? Is there a trick? Thanks for your ideas ??
