You can display by roles (or what we call groups), but not by category. You can assign users to an existing WordPress role such as Subscriber, Editor etc or create a custom role (but you’d need our paid version for this) and then assign users to that role/group. Then you’d use the “group” shortcode parameter such as [employees group=”subscriber”]. You need to use the group slug (lower case, no spaces) vs label however.
