display by year or start and end dates

    Hello,

    Thank you for this short code plugin. I use it to display past events. I would like to display by the year. Or have option for start and end dates to display events.

    Please advise.

    Good to hear you’re liking the plugin!

    The pro version of the plugin actually has a year option:

    You would then just do something like [ecs-list-events year="2016"] to show a year of events, or something like [ecs-list-events year="2017" futureonly="yes"] to show a year of events but only if they are in the future.

    The pro version also has a “days” param to specify the number of days from now to show events, but not a start/end date option yet.

    Follow-up question

    When I display by month and past i.e. past=’yes’ month=’2017-01′
    All the events for January are shown – not just past events.

    Is this also the case with the pro version where I can display by “year”.
    Or can I limit the events that display to just past events by year?
    i.e. past=’yes’ year=’2017′ (will this show only events that have past in 2017?)

    I am trying to use the shortcode for archive of past events.

    That’s correct, past will work as you’d like in pro for both year and month.
