On my shop page I have categories across the top and below, the products in a selected category (either from the main navigation menu or a side filtered categories menu.

For the products shown in the filtered category it seems I’m only able to provide a generic “Products” heading, when I would like that to be a dynamic title showing the selected category. Is this possible? I wish I could attach a screenshot of what I’m trying to accomplish, but if you go to the site you’ll maybe see what I am describing.

    Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @blueplanetphoto!

By default, WooCommerce displays the Category on top once you select it. It is also related to the theme you are using.

So I checked your site, and it seems that the theme you are using is not displaying this feature. It could be this way by default, or it could be due to a conflict with WooCommerce and your theme or another plugin as well.

To be sure, please perform a conflict test by temporarily switching your theme back to Storefront, disabling all plugins except WooCommerce, and check if it is displaying the category name once you select it. If that solves it, then re-enable all plugins one by one, as well as your theme, until you find the one creating the conflict.

If you cannot perform a conflict test on your live site, we recommend creating a staging site using the WP Staging plugin.

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.

Let us know how that goes for you!

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
