Display Category Thumbnail As Background Image

    It really all depends on your theme usage. There is a plugin that can handle this easily if for you if you’re not comfortable coding it from scratch.

    You’ll most likely have to float the content over the background to get it to work the way I think you want. You’ll have to add CSS, but again this is all based one which theme you decide to go with an then editing the CSS.
