Display child category posts from parent?

  • Hello and thank you in advance!

    I’m trying to get ultimate posts to display child category posts by selecting the parent category. Is this even possible in WordPress? If not, is there a workaround? I would need this because child categories will be added in the future and it would be easier if there would be no need to update the widget settings every time a child category is added.

  • Hey there, unfortunately at the moment the plugin doesn’t support this.

    It’s certainly possible in WordPress but will require some work on the plugin to add the functionality.

    I need this functionality as well, so maybe for the next version or

    If you have the time and feel up to it, maybe you can paste a code snippet to modify the existing code

    I recall that I read somewhere in the codex to add posts to child categories only, not both parent and child.

    Thanks for the great plugin, I think it’s the best of its kind.
